627 on King is established near the Niagara River in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. The property has been under the ownership of Wanda and Kacper Kasprzycki since 2019, with accommodations available from April to the end of December. Breakfast is served ensuite (room service) or in the garden. Eggs benedict, brie & cranberry French toast and omelettes appear to be favourites among the many breakfast options that guests are free to choose from. 627 on King is located in the Historic Old Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, but that’s not the only attraction that brings guests from various parts of the world. Niagara-on-the-Lake is in the heart of Canada’s wine country. There is an endless number of wineries to explore, many of which are biking distance from 627 on King. There’s also a number of touring and transportation services. Boasting thirteen productions from April – December, the Shaw Festival Theatre is a theater company within walking distance from 627 on King. Niagara Falls, golfing, wine and fruit festivals are a few other draws for tourism.
All three of the BnB’s rooms are on the main level of a one-story building,
which the owners believe can accommodate elderly guests or those who
face difficulty with stairs. With regard to the amenities that are featured in the
rooms, each unit is equipped with: a private ensuite bathroom, fireplace, TV,
fridge, ironing board, air conditioning, toiletries, and a private entrance. The
owners of the establishment observe that the most popular room tends to be
the one that includes a double jacuzzi tub, especially among younger adults.
Every morning, guests are served breakfast of guests' choosing from the
provided menu. The owners can adjust breakfast items accordingly to
conform to dietary restrictions such as gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian.
Breakfast entrees are complemented with fruit juices, teas, coffee, or hot
chocolate. Visitors are given the option to enjoy their breakfast in the garden
(weather permitting) as opposed to eating in their guestroom. Guests have
the option of being served at 8:30, 9:00, or 9:30 a.m., making the experience
customizable. 627 on King takes pride in the property's garden. Both the front
and backyard gardens are available for guests to enjoy and is considered
another highlight by some visitors. A gazebo with a seating area offers opportunities to observe botanical views.
The establishment is also found in close proximity to the Niagara River. 627 on
King recommends the various events that are hosted throughout Niagara-
on-the-Lake; namely the Cherry Festival, Peach Festival, Night of Roses, and
several music festivals, the latter of which occur all season long. Niagara Falls is a 20-
minute drive from the bed and breakfast. For those who are seeking
restaurants in the vicinity, some dining options include: Peller Estates, Old
Winery Restaurant & Bar, Trius Winery Restaurant, Grill on King, Ravine
Vineyard Estate Restaurant, The Olde Angel Inn and Irish Harp Pub.
The owners make an effort to provide their guests with a more private
experience that can allow them to enjoy their time at 627 on King without much
interference. In a review, one guest stated, "We felt very at home. Wanda
and Kacper are wonderful and lovely hosts."
627 on King observes that the busiest season of operation most commonly
occurs from June to October, as a relatively high quantity of travelers come to
attend the festivals in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Furthermore, the owner believes that it’s a particularly good
time to visit wineries. Couples between the ages of 25 and 85 constitute the
primary demographic of those who stay at 627 on King, and at least a third of
guests are repeat visitors.
627 on King does not allow dogs or children under the age of 14. Each
accommodation has a two-person maximum occupancy.
In 1960, 627 on King was constructed, however, the building itself served as a residential home prior to operating as a bed and breakfast. Nearly 20 years ago, the home was converted into a bed and breakfast, though it wasn't until the year 2019 that Wanda and Kacper Kasprzycki, the current owners, purchased the property. According to Wanda, she and Kacper were in the hospitality industry for about 20 years before gaining ownership of 627 on King. The couple previously owned a sizeable resort before deciding to downsize to a bed and breakfast. 627 on King has future plans for renovation, revamping, and modernizing, with the intent to ensure that guests have a personalized and relaxing stay.
