Charlene Elasser and her husband purchased the property where Amid Summer's Inn is located in 2002. They slowly renovated and updated the property over the years. Adding a gazebo, covered parking, and flower gardens. The actual building was built in the 1930s and lived in by a family for years. The property was intended to be turned into bed and breakfast from the start, but the builder passed away, so the family just kept it as their residence. They passed notes from house to house in a can, and the mother sent lunch out to the children in the yard on a pully. The family made lots of memory on the property, and when it was turned into a bed and breakfast they were thrilled with the turnout. The bed and breakfast was purchased by the Elassers and converted into Amid Summer's Inn. The couple was influenced by a friend who owned the bed and breakfast. Charlene loves the industry, decorating, and Shakespeare.
