The centerpiece is a striking reclaimed red barn, surrounded by manicured lawns and two serene coves. These idyllic spaces offer a fire pit, horseshoes, a hammock, and numerous benches for relaxation, all complemented by the soothing sounds of a babbling brook. Originally constructed in 1850 by the Fisher family, this nearly 8,000-square-foot barn has been thoughtfully renovated to retain its rustic charm while offering modern amenities. The interior showcases original wood beams and stone walls, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The inn can comfortably accommodate up to 26 overnight guests, with six well-appointed rooms, and a bunk room, across three levels, each featuring private bathrooms and modern conveniences like televisions and high-speed Wi-Fi.

Two fully equipped kitchens and ample dining areas allow for seamless meal preparation and gatherings, while a spacious second-floor deck offers additional seating, BBQ facilities, and a fire pit, perfect for evening relaxation. The third level boasts a vibrant game room, complete with a pool table, pinball machine, and karaoke, making it a delightful retreat for both adults and children.

The Canna Country Inn is steeped in history, dating back to its construction by the Fisher family, who settled in the Fishing Creek Valley in 1767 after emigrating from Germany. The barn initially served agricultural purposes, housing livestock and storing hay and grain. In 1983, the property underwent significant renovations under the care of the Franciscans, eventually transforming into the inn we cherish today.

The grounds have been meticulously developed over the years, showcasing the beauty of the surrounding landscape while preserving the inn’s historical integrity. Original features, such as the wooden pegs and marked beams from the construction, serve as a testament to the craftsmanship of the era.
