About

The Fountain Motel is located on three acres of land in Fountain City, Wisconsin—near the Mississippi River. Because of this, it is common for people to come to the property to be near the river so they can do things such as boating and fishing. The property consists of one large house with thirteen units inside. Three of those thirteen units are suites, which have larger televisions, recliner chairs, and provided bathroom accommodations. Each room has a different theme. The themes of the rooms are the Gone Fishing Suite, Northwoods Suite, Harley Davidson Suite, Old Glory, the Jungle/Leopard Room, South of the Border, Wild West, the Beach House, the Cabin, the Vineyard, Burlington Route, Angler's Retreat, and the Lodge.

The Gone Fishing Suite consists of two queen-sized beds, one bathroom, and a television set. Above the beds are fishing nets, one with fish on it. The theme of the room is evident in the decorations, such as the fishing nets, a boat shelf hanging on the wall, and the lamp on the desk that has the appearance of fishing boots. The Northwoods Suite has two beds and one bathroom. The beds are smaller than in the Gone Fishing Suite and have red and black checkered blankets on them. The bed frames are made out of wood meant to resemble logs. The bed frame supports the smaller beds. On the wall above the beds are pictures of forest animals. Across from the bed are a desk, mini-fridge, microwave, chair, and lamp. The Harley Davidson Suite has two beds, a bathroom, and various Harley Davidson decorations such as wall pieces, a stuffed animal, and pillows. There is a television, desk, lamp, mini-fridge, and microwave in the room across from the beds.

In Old Glory, there is a king-sized bed with American Flag bedding, a bathroom, a desk, mini-fridge and microwave, television set, and couch. The Jungle/Leopard Room has two beds with leopard print bedding, a bathroom, various jungle animal decorations, and the customary desk, mini-fridge, and microwave. Wild West has green walls, two beds, and various horse-themed decorations such as pictures on the wall, bedding, and lamps. The Beach House has two beds, one bathroom, a mini-fridge, microwave, and desk. Above one bed is a fishing net decorated with shells. There are also pictures of water birds, boats, and water on the walls. The Cabin Room has two beds with green blankets, yellow walls, and a bathroom. The decorations include pillows, plants, and wall decorations. In the Vineyard room are two beds, a bathroom, and several wall decorations with matching bed sheets. The Burlington Route room is based on trains and has decorations accordingly. Angler's Retreat has one bed, a couch, and bathroom, and several fishing decorations on its green walls. Finally, the Lodge has one bed, a couch, a bathroom, and a forest animal theme. Most of the decorations involve moose.

Outside of the property, there are a number of things to do, such as boating, fishing, riding motorcycles, a park, a dirt race track, and a museum for people to visit. Because of the nearby Mississippi River, a lot of people come to stay at the Fountain Motel to enjoy fishing and boating with their families.
