History

The Holliday Inn of Folly Beach originated in 1949 and has been in the Holliday family from that time, with Louis being the current owner. Louis' mother decided to rent out rooms of their beach house to earn some extra money. The money from these rentals was then able to provide the improvements that the beach house needed. The Holliday Inn of Folly Beach has significantly expanded since it first opened in 1949. The property started with only four rooms but now has 14 rooms, common areas, a large swimming pool, a fire pit, and other features for guests to enjoy.
