Duncan—the city Lindley House Garden Cottages resides in—is found near the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center, which is a popular museum. Visitors also seek outings at the nearby Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge. In the restored downtown area of Duncan, there are a variety of Historic Boutique Shops selling antiques and other wares. History

The Lindley House estate was built in 1939 by Dr. E.C. and Helen Lindley. The current owners are Cecil & Debby Brewer. Lindley House Garden Cottages, on the estate, has been in operation as a bed and breakfast for 23 years. Purchasing the property was envisioned by current owner, Cecil Brewer, as he relates his inspiration: “I didn’t like my previous job, I wanted to change to something that I enjoyed more”.
