History

The Peachland Eagles Nest Bed and Breakfast is owned and managed by Murray Wood and his wife, Valerie. Originally from Vancouver, Murray and Valerie were taken by Peachland and its community. Murray spent most of his working years in building and real estate investment, while Valerie established a career in food brokerage and sales. Wanting to slow down and get a head start on what would become a retirement project for them, the couple purchased the two acres of land in 2015. For a year, Murray built and remodeled the suites on the property to create an up-to-date, well-structured place for their guests to stay. The original house on the property was built in 1964 and had not been changed or redecorated before Murray and Valerie purchased it. Valerie decorated each of the suites and provided all of the extra supplies and amenities. After finishing the property's more significant renovations, the property was opened for reservations in 2016. Over time Murray has built an additional glamping site and maintains upkeep on the grounds. The name Eagles Nest comes from when the couple first visited the property and saw an eagle flying around the property almost at eye level. To this day, guests can expect to see an eagle or two during their visit to Peachland Eagles Nest Bed and Breakfast.
