The Great Bear Inn is located in West Glacier, Montana. The property consists of three separate cabins. The biggest of the bed and breakfast cabins has five guest rooms and three floors. All of the buildings are located on a total of 10 acres of land that is located just 7 miles away from Glacier National Park. The Great Bear Inn is a unique bed and breakfast, with the main cabin having seven guest rooms. There are two rooms on the lower level with king-size beds. These rooms are 600 square feet and have a private patio. Two rooms have two queen beds, and three of the rooms have one queen bed. The rooms are decorated in an upscale-rustic style. Each of the rooms is named after a site that is found at the Glacier National Park. Different themes of the rooms include Native American, animals, and a garden theme. The cabin has three floors.

There are two individual cabins that guests can stay in on the property. The individual cabins have one bedroom, a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom, and a loft with two queen beds. Great Bear Inn sells a couple of different souvenir items for guests. They have Minky blankets with the property name and a bear embroidered on them. They also sell mugs and cups, and the owner makes wooden doll beds. The owners once had a guest stay with them, who was a carpenter. He made wooden boxes that hold trinkets, and they bought some from him and sold those to their guests.

The property is located on 10 acres of land and is seven miles from Glacier National Park. The cabins are nestled in the trees, making it a secluded and private property for guests to stay at. The property offers scenic mountain views and walking trails. Outdoor amenities include picnic tables and a fire ring where guests can treat themselves to smores.

July through September are usually the busiest months at The Great Bear Inn. West Glacier is known for Glacier National Park, and many guests come for this reason. There is also an assortment of opportunities for rafting and fishing in the area. The owners are happy to help guests make the most of their stay by recommending activities and places to eat. One restaurant recommendation from the owners is the Nite Owl & Back Room. It is a barbecue restaurant serving BBQ pork ribs, chicken, seafood, pizza, and more.


The Great Bear Inn's staff and management try to create an inviting property for their guests to enjoy. The property has an upper-scale-rustic theme. Bulinda Egley, one of the owners, says that guests have sent them postcards and Christmas cards after their stay at The Great Bear Inn. The Great Bear Inn serves as a convenient home base for Glacier National Park. One guest said, "The room is huge compared to other hotels, and there is a fireplace that makes the room very cozy and romantic. The bathroom is also very large, along with the shower. Every day our trash was emptied, and towels were replenished as needed. There were wine glasses available upstairs to enjoy a glass in the room or on the patio/deck outside." Another guest left a comment saying, "Everything was neat and clean, and the views can't be beaten. Breakfast every morning was wonderful and plentiful-we always left with full bellies ready for a day of hiking. Bunny and Larry were very accommodating and the perfect hosts." The owners, Bulinda and Larry Egley, bought the property of The Great Bear Inn in the year 2018. When they first purchased the property, there was a very different feel to the property. Their goal was to make The Great Bear Inn a homey and upscale place for guests to stay. They have put a lot of work into the property to make it the property that it is today. The property has been used as a bed and breakfast since 2006.
