All of the buildings are located on a total of 10 acres of land that is located just 7 miles away from Glacier National Park. Each of the rooms is named after a site that is found at the Glacier National Park. Different themes of the rooms include Native American, animals, and a garden theme. The cabin has three floors.

Great Bear Inn sells a couple of different souvenir items for guests. They have Minky blankets with the property name and a bear embroidered on them. They also sell mugs and cups, and the owner makes wooden doll beds. The owners once had a guest stay with them, who was a carpenter. He made wooden boxes that hold trinkets, and they bought some from him and sold those to their guests.

There is also an assortment of opportunities for rafting and fishing in the area. The owners are happy to help guests make the most of their stay by recommending activities and places to eat. One restaurant recommendation from the owners is the Nite Owl & Back Room. It is a barbecue restaurant serving BBQ pork ribs, chicken, seafood, pizza, and more.

One guest said, "The room is huge compared to other hotels, and there is a fireplace that makes the room very cozy and romantic. The bathroom is also very large, along with the shower. Every day our trash was emptied, and towels were replenished as needed. There were wine glasses available upstairs to enjoy a glass in the room or on the patio/deck outside." Another guest left a comment saying, "Everything was neat and clean, and the views can't be beaten. Breakfast every morning was wonderful and plentiful-we always left with full bellies ready for a day of hiking. Bunny and Larry were very accommodating and the perfect hosts." The owners, Bulinda and Larry Egley, bought the property of The Great Bear Inn in the year 2018. When they first purchased the property, there was a very different feel to the property. Their goal was to make The Great Bear Inn a homey and upscale place for guests to stay. They have put a lot of work into the property to make it the property that it is today. The property has been used as a bed and breakfast since 2006.
